Women Are Honored Where, Divinity Blossoms There

"Yatra Naryastu pujyante/ Ramante tatra devata."

The shloka literally means that the place where woman is respected and worshipped, is inhabited by gods. It accentuates the need for respecting and adoring woman. No familial, social or religious ritual can be performed without her.

Here It would not be superfluous to quote from The Ramayana wherein Lord Rama had to have the golden idol of Sita by his side to perform the Ashvamedh Yajna because without her presence, nominal though, the religious rite would not be complete.

but reality has become far different.
